DIY Wedding Shoes
I am Carli Hein from Hein & Dandy and today I am going to walk you through how to take a regular pair of heels and transform them into the heels of your dreams! One of my good friends is getting married in July and we have brainstormed a bunch of amazing DIY bride projects just for you! She is going to be wearing these amazing shoes for her actual wedding and you can too! Ready to get started? I am!
Supplies:
- Heels
- Rhinestones
- E6000 Glue
- Pearls
Create Pattern
These gems all have an adhesive backing, which made creating a pattern easy! If you don’t like where something is placed, you can move it around easily. Start at the center with one large rhinestone and then work your way out with smaller stones. You can add as many rhinestones as you like but we kept our design to a narrow diamond shape.
Glue
Once you have your set design for the backs of you heels you can start glueing. This part can be tedious but worth it! Take off each rhinestone and put a small dab of E6000 glue directly on the back. Place the stone carefully back into place. Repeat this for the entire design. Turn on some fun music or have a friend help you to pass the time!
Let Dry
After getting all your rhinestones glued down make sure you let the glue dry. The glue will start setting in around ten minutes but it will take around 24-72 hours to fully cure. Please allow the most time possible before your big day to make this beautiful shoes!
