There is something ultra fabulous about writing with a feather pen… and so I think that you have to make a few of these for your guests to use to sign your guest book! It only takes a few quick steps to embellish these gorgeous rose gold and yellow gold pens, so any skill level of crafter can complete this project with ease. After your wedding is over, it will be a wonderful addition to your desk at work… and a terrific reminder of all the love that flowed through it!
SUPPLIES:
- Rose Gold + Yellow Gold Pens
- Rose Gold + Yellow Gold Twine
- Craft Feathers
- E6000 Glue
- Scissors
- Clips
Feather + Pen
Decide on your feather(s) and carefully clip them to the pen, to hold them in place while gluing. I’m using these sewing clips but clothespins or the like, will do!
Glue
Apply E600, an awesome and super strong glue, to the pen and feather shaft. Smoosh it around with your finger or a toothpick to smooth it out. Let dry for 24 hours.
Wrap With Twine
Before you wrap with twine, cut any excess glue or bumpy feather shaft pieces off the end of where you will wrap. Then wrap and cover part of the feather shaft and all of the glue with twine. Tie with a knot to finish.
Glue The Knot
To fully secure the twine, add a tiny bit of E6000 to the knot and smooth. Done!
Quick + Cute
Whether you’re going to use these pens for your guest book or just as a fabulous addition to your desk – they are a quick and easy craft project to love… and one that you will actually use!
