Adult coloring books are all the rage. You can find them everywhere, from Target to Paper Source and even the grocery store. A few weeks back I was talking to crafty friend of mine about why adult coloring is so hot right now and I loved her answer. She said she felt it was because everyone knows how to color, it’s easy, it can be relaxing and it makes you feel like a kid. Which of course got my creative brain moving. A few days later I actually sat down to color a free page I found on Pinterest and all those feelings hit me like a ton of bricks. I was shocked. I did not want to stop coloring, lol! Long story short, since I enjoyed it so much I thought you might too… so I created these free printable coloring cards as a fun and personal way to say Will You Be My Bridesmaid? …or Maid of Honor, Matron of Honor, and Flower Girl. Personalizing is crazy easy, from hair and skin color to dress and flower color the sky is the limit and I cannot wait to see your creations!
Coloring all these cards for the shoot was so much fun!
Using your home printer, print my designs onto 8.5″ x 11″ bright white cardstock – making sure to click to choose “print actual size” in your printer settings box.
Then color! You can use colored pencils, Copic markers, ink pens… whatever you’d like. You might even be able to print these designs onto watercolor paper and watercolor. Customize to fit your friends unique look and the theme of your wedding! Here I’m using colored pencils…
Glitter Dress Optional
Here I used a glue pen and glitter to embellish the girls dresses. First I colored the cards with my favorite Copic markers and left the areas blank that I wanted to glitter. I love this Martha Stewart glue pen because it has an extra extra fine tip and holds the glitter perfectly. Saturate an entire section of the dress and shake on the glitter. While wet the glue is blue but dries 100% clear. Once fully dry, shake off the excess glitter.
Cut + Trim Your Card
Using the crop lines provided, trim your card down to 10″ x 7″ and then fold into a 5″ x 7″ card. This Fiskars paper trimmer I’m using also has a scoring blade, so I scored the card in the middle to make it easier to fold. Hit the edges with your favorite corner rounder and you’re done!
Crafters Tip: if there are little rough edges from the corner rounder, use a nail file to smooth them out!
