I don’t often get to share posts of projects that I’ve made for myself (since I’m already married) but today “I do!” My hubby and I recently moved into a new home and one small project I knew I wanted to create was to frame our wedding vows. I struggled for weeks about what would be a cool, minimal and gentle reminder of our commitment to each other and I finally settled on the fact that they didn’t have to be matchy-matchy. I took the custom aspect of this idea a bit further as each of us picked out our frame and our favorite wedding picture. It was fun to get him involved too and I have to say I was super excited about the picture he choose… awwweeee… what’s awesome about this idea is that no matter if your wedding is next year or was 60 years ago, as long as you remember your vows you can make one too!

SUPPLIES:

• Your Favorite Wedding Images
• Cute Frames
• Inkjet Vellum
• Scissors
• Your Vows!

This project was a DIY-colab between me and the hubs! We each picked out our favorite frame (same size, 5 x 7) and then we each picked and printed our favorite wedding photo; which made each frame uniquely special to us both.

Next, using Photoshop I typed and designed a layout of our vows, one for each of us – but you can use any software that you feel comfortable with. I made sure to design the text box smaller than the size of the frame and I even included an outline box to trim around. Then I printed the vows onto “inkjet vellum” (which is really important as you can’t print on all types of vellum) and cut out each layout.

Since I sized the vellum to fit the frame/picture the same, I didn’t adhere the vellum to the photos – I simply framed them.

So that’s all there is to it;

• design a vow layout and print
• print your photos
• frame!
• enjoy…. :-)
