Kids are cute, funny and sweet… but not always at weddings. If we are being honest, it’s a super long and totally boring day for them until the desserts and dancing – that’s where they shine! So today’s DIY kids wedding favor box will hopefully keep them occupied for an hour or so, getting them through some of the dull parts. Today’s project is not just about the favor box though, I’ve also got 6 brand new coloring pages for you to download for free – since last years coloring pages were so popular. Putting these adorable little gifts together is super easy, and should take you less than 2 hours. I kept the box decoration fairly simple as we all know the kids are just going to trash the boxes anyway, but colorful enough to intrigue them!
Keep the kids at your wedding entertained with these fun and interactive gifts!
Download your choice of gable box label at the end of the post and print it onto white cardstock. Fold or score on the lines provided to help your label fold around the box. Cut around the design using scissors or a paper trimmer; the label itself cuts to 8.5″ x 3″. There are 2 labels per sheet.
Add each kids name to a label. Adhere the label to the front of the box using Glue Dots or your favorite scrapbooking adhesive. The top of the label wraps around the top flap of the box and the bottom does the same.
New Wedding Coloring Pages!
We have 6 brand new, adorable kids coloring pages for you! Download them at the bottom of the post and print onto regular white printer paper, then cut the sheets in half (5.5″) using a paper trimmer. ***TIP: When printing, choose to print “actual size” and they’ll be sized perfectly!
Some fun ideas of what to include in your boxes are: coloring sheets, crayons, legos, ring pops, goldfish crackers… all 6 of these items fit perfectly inside the gable box.
Pack up your gifts. I put the coloring sheets on the bottom and then stacked my way up.
The final touch is to add a crayon to the top of the box. Just take one from the kids crayon box, loop with twine and tie a bow. Done!
So cute, colorful and fairly inexpensive! In total (wrapping + gifts) each box cost about $9.
These are sure to keep the kids at your wedding busy for at least an hour or so, lol.
