So I feel kinda bad, I normally spend so much time talking about the “DIY Bride”… when all the DIY Bridesmaids out there deserve some love too! They are your purusers of Pinterest, your awesome assembly line, your creative coupon finders and overall your wonderful DIY wedding divas. I have been one of those gals too many times and so today’s fun project is for all those crafty bridesmaids (and Maid of Honors) who are going to spend hours helping you create your dream wedding from scratch. If you are planning a DIY wedding, honor your creative besties by asking them, “Will You Be My DIY Bridesmaid?“… and gift them all kinds of fun crafting stuff!
SUPPLIES:

We are going to start by embellishing the box label with glitter. Print the designs (found at the bottom of the post) onto your choice of 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock, light colors are best. Trace the wedding ring design using a glue pen and then cover with glitter, brush off excess when dry.
Trim around the circle design, adhere to another color of cardstock and trim again. This step is optional… and there are SO many different ways that you can embellish this label!
Maid of Honor + Bridesmaid complete.
Adhere to the top of each box with your favorite adhesive.
Fun DIY Bridesmaid Gift Ideas:
Pink Glue Gun
Note Pad
Glue Dots
Stickers
Washi Tape
Glitter
Tacky Glue
Scissors
Needles
Thread
Ring Pop
Pen
…and bubbly of course!
Your list should depend on the type of projects you might be doing… like you might need to include a paper trimmer, paint, paint brushes, large scissors, twine… the list goes on!
Fill your gift boxes with all your fun items. For the “personalized” glue gun, I just cut a small piece of sticker paper and wrote the initials, much better than the ugly label :-)
Any crafty gal would love to get this as a gift… so even if your bridesmaids aren’t the crafty ones, let’s say it’s your aunt or other friend – you can still gift them this box to say thanks!
Add a ribbon around the box, and maybe a cute tag with each gals name.
So freaking cute right?
What will be in your DIY bridesmaid box?
Sometimes it’s hard being the crafty friend, as people tend to use up your supplies, dull your punches, forget to return things, take your skills for granted and then some. So if you are asking a friend to help you be crafty (especially for your wedding) make sure that they know just how much you appreciate their help and always offer to replenish their supply!
