• top-loading shadowbox frame (must!)
• picture for the frame
• gold Sharpie paint pen
• pencil

Purchasing a “top-loading shadowbox frame” is a must for this project! It not only looks good but it’s incredibly functional! We got ours at Michaels.

On a scrap piece of paper, practice writing your phrase…

Using your Sharpie paint pen, carefully write/outline your phrase right onto the glass!

Made a mistake? Not a problem, easily clean the paint pen off the glass with nail polish remover. I keep straight up acetone in my cabinet which works like a dream but some non-acetone removers might not work as well.

Acetone dries in a split second, so you can quickly get back to your design.

Once you are happy with the outline of your design, carefully go over it – shading and filling in areas to embellish the font.

CRAFTERS TIP // You have to wait until the paint dries on the glass to go over it again, otherwise it will just lift itself up. Good thing it dries quickly!

Carefully slide the top open and make your deposit!

Mentally, it’s exciting and rewarding to watch this money pile up and know that soon you’ll be able to spend it!
